Let me rephrase that.
Are you really using Google Friend Connect or did you just join a site and forget about it?

It’s that box that appears on blog and website sidebars. If you’ve joined a site you should see your picture there. Visually you might think of it a lot like MyBlogLog.
I’ve recently been adding the GFC module to client blogs and websites and came to realize many people don’t know what it is capable of.
Here’s how Google introduces the product:
I have a slightly different take.
You did complete your Google Profile didn’t you?
Make sure you have a complete Google Profile so that others can better connect with you! To find yours just go to http://www.google.com/s2/profiles/me
By the way, here’s mine: http://www.google.com/s2/profiles/100617166766890044353
To install GFC on your site you’ll need to be able to FTP a couple of files to your root server. If you need help – just ask.

What are yours?

I added Friend Connect to my site a few weeks ago if you would like to join me there. So far its just me lol. I was working on an article on how to web 2.0ify your website but just didnt write it yet...
Sonny- Not yet and you are right, it was Fidelity.
Shane- I just joined! http://www.yourchippewavalleyhome.com/
Everyone Else – I’m really surprised. Other than Facebook Friend Connect (which I like even better and is an upcoming blog post) this is a really powerful way to find and connect with clients. Yeah, those people that buy and sell and finance.
I’m surprised not due to the lack of comments, but since this post was featured in the daily email newsletter and received a good deal of views and a surprisingly good number of clicks – so very few of you actually joined any of the sites I mentioned. Wow! Go join sites! REALLY BIG HINT: If you want social proof, go find new sites especially local blogs that have GFC
Thanks for the post. I've been doing some research on both the Facebook and Google offerings. Right now Google is looking like it's going to be easier to implement on sites.... but I'm a huge Facebook fan so I'll probably give both a shot.
Very cool, I always try to keep up with technology but you manage to share new things often. I will need to try this out.
Consider me beaten... I am going to set my sites up in just a few minutes... 4 year old needs to go to bed first.
Lane - Here’s another reason you’ll like GFC – You can video to your sidebar. As in you can a video to my sidebar. Check out http://AreWeConnected.com I added a F1 video for you!
Ok, I got started on LaneBailey. I still need to do GwinnettGarageGuy, LilburnDwellings and GarageHomesUSA.com. Did I miss anything? Probably... (actually, I had to edit before posting because I forgot a site...)
Love it, but my sidebar looks like the "Las Vegas" strip.
want to say thanks for this post before I get distracted ad go check out my profile!
Hey Mike. Thanks. Another thing on my to-do list.
Interesting, just updated my basic business profile and will have to go back and explore the new features they have added.
Mike, I am not sure I understand this post. I am guessing that if I don't "get it" then others don't either. Could you possibly elaborate on what it is used for and why I should be using it. I do have a google profile...if that means anything!
Hey, I just set up my profile. Thanks for the info.
