How many times have you said or heard that?
Have last minute docs that need to be signed and the client is at work? How often has that happened?
Can they meet you halfway?
So where is halfway?
And when we decide where that point is, where do you want to meet?
The side of the road isn't the right option.
Want to have coffee?
How about a little Pizza & Beer?
So many questions! How do you figure it all out?
Fear not!
I have the website to quickly answer all your questions.
It's called meetways.com and it'll not only calculate where that middle ground is but also show you the available coffee shops, pizza parlors or whatever you specify.
Here's a real life case in point.
My friend and fellow car guy Lane Bailey found some cool car parts online. The seller didn't want to ship. Lane had a small problem. He lives in Lilburn, GA and the parts were in Livermore, CA. That 2,456 mile trip is a little too far for some greasy car parts. Lane knew I lived close so he asked if I could pick up the parts. Using meetways.com I quickly came up with 4 coffee shops near the halfway point where "Mr. I'm afraid of Fedex" can meet me.
Now, if these parts are too big to ship - I can always make the drive and meet Lane halfway.
"Hey Lane! How about a little Pizza and Beer in Walsh, CO? - I know the perfect spot!"
Try Meetways - it'll make you look like a star!

I think i could use that. I know the metro area here in Portland, but as i get out a little , i have no idea were any coffee houses and such are.
Thank you.
Mike - What a great idea for the navigationaly challenged !!!
Unfortunately most of the time my "Meet me in the middle" is called e-mail. But for other activities this is a great idea and I will look into it.
Mike - what a great and humorous way to advertise a web site. It was really fun to follow :)
Mike how funny. Thanks for the information.
Hey Mike, That's pretty cool. You mean you are really going to meet - car guy, Lane Bailey half way for a car part??? I know, it's a car thing.. God bless,
Mike, this is a great tool!! I thought I knew where all the Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, McDonald's were!! I liked it so much I reblogged!! Thanks.
Timothy - I love the way this works. It's such a simple Google Maps Mashup I keep thinking "Why didn't I think of it!"
Laura - I love the ability to work virtual - yet sometimes you just need to get a wet signature. Pull this tool out of your toolbox in those cases.
Petra, Pat - Thank you!
Cheryl - Nothing like a good road trip! Car guys are whacked. I once drove down to San Diego, 8 hrs. for a couple of little teeny brass screws (for a carburetor).
June - Hey thanks for the RE-Blog!

This is great! We just tried it using our house to my mom's house it worked great. We have bookmarked it and will definitely use it, thanks for the tip!
Mike this is a clever little site. (I wonder how they make any money, though?)
Thanx
That looks like a fun site and actually useful as well. Thanks for sharing!
I can see several applications for this thanks for sharing.
What a cool idea. I could have used this already several times (graigslist anyone). ~Rita
Mike where was this post about 4 years ago when I was trying to meet my now wife for the first time? She was in columbia, SC and I was in Myrtle Beach...took me 30 min to find somewhere in the middle to meet!
Mike - what would us "normal people" do without you "geek guys"?! We would miss all the cool stuff! Thanks
Bookmarked. What a great site. I'll definetely have to give this a try and give you my synopsis. Thanks for sharing this with us!
Mike - this looks like a great site. I went to their website, then to their blog, and found a comment that a buyer looked for the halfway point between her work and his work, and then searched for a real estate agent in that location.
This looks like a cool application that I hope they refine over time. Just for fun I put in a zipcode search from Davis, CA to Orinda, CA, the half-way point was a fair distance away from a freeway. I'll keep it in mind and I do think it would be a good resource for people looking to live "somewhere" in the middle.
Mike, I love this, I though when I saw the title you were talking about negotiating, What a wonderful surprise to see the real use. Yippe, this will come in handy.
I love it!!! Great tool!!
I think I will use it next time
Great tool I'll use in the future - Thanks
Thanks Mike you always give information for great tools.
Mike - That's a great idea! I'll bookmark the site for future use.
Mike,
great tool that you uncovered. I will use it in my repertoire for now on. Thanks! I enjoy your blog and following you on Twitter (RealtorTony_OH). Thanks!!
Thanks Mike... I'm off to check of the site. I'm constantly amazed at the ideas that folks come up with for new websites.
What a cool tool, Mike. I've found myself in positions where I could have used this many times over the years.
Excellent concept. Everday, something new!
This is a great site. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Mike - What a great resource. When I saw your subject line, I was immediately reminded of a friend of mine, who would suggest we meet half way while trying to compromise on an agenda. I always lost because he would come so far out of left field, that I was in totally in foreign territory when we finished bargaining:-)
Ok, as soon as I saw the post title... I was thinking about our emails... And then I read the post.
I'm a star...
Anyway, I think Idaho Springs would be better... there is a little brick oven pizza place I think on Colorado St. I'm still trying to decide if i want those magnesium runflats... and figure out what the shipping would be.
You are such the dude... And have you seen my new series on LaneBailey.com? Input?
Thanks Mike - great tip! I *do* do that sometimes....
Mike.. interesting site.. Bad thing about half way is when they don't show up.`
This is quite an interesting post and I love your thoughts on this completely entertaining subject. Keep up the great work and look forward to reading more. Cheers!
Wow that's really neat - will have to try it out - Reminds me though of Wed as I waited for an agent at a Dunkin Donuts on rte 109 in Milford as she sat at a Dunkin Donuts on rte 109 in Medway the next town over - I guess we could have used your toolset!
I tried that with my Attorney one time, I can still hear that evil laugh in my head. No thank you I will meet you at my office at a convenient time.
Alan - IThey hope you also click on the ads. They also hope somebody like Google will buy them up and make them instant Gazzillionaires.
Carolyn - Yes, it isn't perfect. My first shot from Lane to me resulted in spots near Cancun. (yeah THAT Cancun). But I changed his city to Atlanta and the results are better. It's a mashup.
Lane - You are definately a STAR! LOL. With the new job, I've been remis in visiting my friends. I'm sorry. I'll try and head over this AM.
Mary - Did you just say Doo Doo?
Are you following me on Twitter?
Lane - I take it back I did see the 101 Cars posts in my Feed Reader! I starred it so I could come back. I saw that guy on Speed once and he did nothing for me. Great posts starting with ...

A client of mine, always likes to meet me at a coffee shop before we go out to look at homes! I will be using this tool in the next day!
