Definition: To show a stream of twitter feeds
When I was at BlogWorld and REBlogWorld the attendees used hashtags to stay on the same page. A hashtag is simply an identifying string of text. You can then search Twitter for that hashtag and have a streaming conversation.
For REBlogWorld the hashtag was " #rebw "
For BlogWorld the hashtag was " #bwe08 "
And then for a particular session we used just the simple " #pr2 ".
This was nice because the speakers had the search on the projector and we had a live conversation. It was also valuable in that the conversation was "recorded". I can now go back and see what someone was talking about and the links they provided.
Right now there is another convention going on called VAR.
They are using the hashtag of " #var08 "
I can easily place a widget on the sidebar showing the tagged tweets. As a matter of fact the BlogWorld widget is doing that right now.
I've been looking for something to put the results into a post. That's harder. I haven't found anything yet.
I'm going to insert an iframe below and see if I can't show the Stweam (yeah, I just made that up).
Let's pick something like...
Now that it's up - why not search for any term you like.
Try "Mike Mueller", or "MikeMueller" or try your own name.
Go see what the Twitterverse is saying...

It is pretty cool... So, what is the tech behind it? Is it from the MM SkunkWorx?
I searched for "Stweaming" and you have the only tweet about it. If only you could monetize this idea, maybe getting a few cents every time someone uses this in their blog. Today it's just spare change, but a year from now it could be early retirement!
Thanks I figured it out, but your explanation was great. You should reblog this before the next conference and update it with the new hash tag for that conference.
Greek to me, Mike, but sounds like techies know what you are talking about - you are always thinking up stuff and trying new things, interesting.
Lane - I like the MM Skunkworks idea. Actually iFrames are old tech. I'll put together a how to post. They are ally are so easy. (look at the html)
John - LOL. It's funny the recurring keyword at #bwe08 was "monetize". As we discussed that's so different from what we in RE do.
Missy - I think I will. Good idea!
Virginia - The tech behind it isn't important. The idea is that there are conversations in TwitterLand that don't evaporate, they are easily tracked.

I highlighted this is Mortgage Pro Week in Review... do you subscribe to Justin? You guys are the BOMB!
Eleanor- Wow, I'm honored! Twitter isn't just for conversation. At BlogWorld, Twitter allowed a room full of 200 people to interact during the seminars. Twitter allowed those people to tweet their notes and to share those notes with everyone both during and after the event.
I keep saying there's a whole 'nother conversation going on out there. RE people, are you part of it?

Good grief, Mike! I'm just getting my head wrapped around AR, and now all this Twitterease... Guess I'll have to dive in and see what it's all about!
A personal thank you for all your help with my video- I never would have gotten it on my own.

Mike, you aways find the coolest stuff. What a great tool! Next month, it will be fun to watch #rebch08!
